The Chocolatiers are Now Gone

Time went by way to fast with Hazel and Clark's Chocolatiers.  The little ones have left over the last week and now they are all in their own homes.

Reese, now Tristan, was the first to leave.  We packed him up and met his new mom, Sue, at the airport.  Tristan had a big day ahead of him as he was flying to Nova Scotia to join his two fur sisters, Alice and Violet (Dalia and Merlot baby), and her fur brother, Geoffrey.

Sweet Marie, now Alice, was the second to leave.  Her mom, Janice, came to take her home to Grafton, Ontario.  She has a wonderful fur brother, Brix, the Briard.

Ferrero, now Paddy, went home with good friends of our Marc-Alexandre and Claudine.  He will join three Schappy siblings, Neo, Henry and Ally, in Ste. Lazare, QC.

Willie, now Ducky, also had a big day of travel as he went with his mom, Calee, on a plane heading to Manitoba.  Calee and Drew love their new little boy and he has been having a great time roaming the new province.

Laura, now Beatrice (Bea), headed to live with her family in Toronto.  Deborah and her family are in love with their new family member.

Patty, now Juno, headed to Toronto as well with her family.  Janice and Jim are looking forward to all the new adventures they will have with this little girl.  Her older human siblings live just down the street and plan to visit her all the time.

The last two boys, Toby, now Raffi, and Hershey, now Noah, will be living their lives out together.  Their parents Millie and Peter are ecstatic to be taking both boys to live with them in Toronto.

The house sure is quiet, and we are definitely missing our little one, but the smiles on the families faces make the heartache a little less.  We have already been receiving such great news on how the puppies are adjusting.

Good Luck little ones.  We wish you all the best.

Chocoatier Update

The Chocolatiers are all growing and doing very well.  Their eyes have opened, they are walking, and now have been sampling real food.  Each of the puppies are beginning to explore the area around the whelping box and are showing their true selves.

The Chocolatiers Have Arrived

Hazel and Clark's little bundle of joys arrived on March 5th, 2025.  It was a very adventurous day yesterday as the Chocolatiers arrived. Hazel started early in the morning delivering the first puppy at 5:23am. But after the third puppy, we noticed something was not right with Hazel. She was too tired and her contractions were weak. We called our amazing Reproduction clinic, Graham Animal Hospital, and told them we were on our way. Dr. Juan Castillo, assessed Hazel and after a quick blood test determined that low calcium was the cause of our problem. Under their watchful eye, and a few calcium treatments later, the remaining of the chocolatiers arrived. The last little girl needed a bit of a hand getting out, and Dr. Castillo was right there. We are so grateful for all the support and help of our clinic. They are truly amazing and we don’t think the outcome would have been as good without them. Hazel and Clark now have 5 handsome boys and 3 beautiful girls. Everyone is home and doing great.
